Developing primary schools in Abu Dhabi
EduCluster Finland Ltd. has formed an expert consortium to develop the education system model in two flagship schools in Abu Dhabi. This concept builds on a combination of the core pillars of the Finnish primary (cycle 1) curriculum considered specific to teaching and learning through the new curriculum in Abu Dhabi.

Background The Emirate of Abu Dhabi has set renewing its role in the global market as its long-term strategic goal for 2030. This calls for significant renewal of the structures of industry and services. This vision brings forth the need for knowledge of innovation and technology, which in detail call for the creative use of skills in language, mathematics and information technology. The education system, school network, public-private cooperation and international collaboration support the continuing renewal and development in the country.
Goal The partnership programme sets out to develop a class teacher model by which to nurture child-focused learning; to create learner-centred environments; to employ integrated technologies for teaching and learning; to foster school, home and community stakeholder relationships; to maximise access to learning for children with differing abilities; and to embed language-supportive techniques in subject learning taught through English in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
